Choosing products
Each guide covers widely available products sold in the UK, mostly in the budget range, across several brands and platforms. Inclusion is not an endorsement; it means the product is a common option worth understanding.
Specs and prices
Specifications come from each manufacturer's official product page, linked under every product. Prices are UK recommended retail prices from the same official sources, dated. Where a manufacturer doesn't publish a UK RRP we say "price varies" rather than guess.
What the comparisons are, and aren't
Our tables compare published numbers. They don't measure real-world performance, and we don't test products. Two products with the same spec can still feel different in your hands.
"Best for" and "watch out"
These short notes are our editorial reading of the specs: for example, a wired-only headset suits a desk setup but not a sofa. They're opinions based on documented features, and labelled as such.
Keeping things current
Manufacturers update products and prices. We re-check pages when we learn of a change, and every page shows the date of its last full check.
